PROFESSIONAL DAY 2024

Every year TNT becomes a meeting point for national and international programmers and professionals. This is the program for the 2024 PRO Day:

From 10 h to 11:30 h: Workshop by Elisabete Paiva and Cristina Planas:
International cooperation and sustainability (limited capacity)

Is the value of an artistic work greater when it crosses borders and becomes international? This is what we have believed for a long time. The Covid-19 pandemic, issues of accessibility and inclusion, ideas of nationality and nationalism, all collide with this idea.

For a moment, after the pandemic, a lens seemed to have been created that allowed us to see the limitations and exclusions of the internationalization of artistic work. A moment of suspension that seemed to open a door to a more ecological, inclusive and fair way of thinking. In the end, this lens broke. Or has it become a kaleidoscope?

What can we see now? What do we want to let go of and what do we want to believe in? What boundaries are we willing to break? Where is the much-acclaimed internationalization and how can we collaborate? Where will we take this stone raft?

 Through a practice of collective reflection, Cristina Planas Leitão and Elisabete Paiva invite artists, curators, programmers and other agents of the artistic sector to draw a new map for international cooperation.

11:30 h: Attendes arrival to PRO Day

12:00 h: Scenical presentation of the TNT 2025 resident artists’ projects
TNT wants to continue supporting creators with the aim of providing space, time, support and means to develop new creative projects. The 6 artists selected this year through a public call will present an introduction to their projects at TNT PRO Day 2024.
